Machu Picchu
The Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu is one of the most important archaeological complexes in the world and is considered a masterpiece of architecture and engineering. Due to its unique architectural and landscape features it has become one of the top destinations worldwide.
Itinerary
To begin the tour we leave Cusco early and head to the train station in Poroy or Ollantaytambo. (On booking the tour one can choose between three different train services: Vistadome, Expedition or Hiram Bingham.). Upon arriving in Aguas Calientes we will go to the bus station in order to arrive at the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu. We will begin a tour of approximately 2 and a half hours of the archaeological complex and afterwards there will be free time to explore and take photos. In the afternoon we have lunch in Aguas Calientes and then take the train back to Ollantaytambo. We will then take transport back to Cusco.
