Rafting on the Urubamba River – 2D, 1N

This entertaining section is done on the Urubamba River, in section Chuquicahuana Cusipata, where the river is cleaner and there is little pollution. The Andean scenery in this section has wonderful views of the river and the locals are very friendly with tourists.

Day 1

We pickup all passengers at 8:30 am and head towards the area south of Cusco for about two hours to reach our private camp where you are shown the access to all our services. Included are sauna facilities, dressing rooms, cold showers and toilets. Then we meet to make a delivery of equipment such as rafting wetsuits, windbreaker jackets, life jackets, helmets and paddles. Once changed you can store your belongings in available lockers. Board our transport where we go to the start of our tour on the upper river section Cusipata where we will provide a safety briefing.

We then begin our rafting adventure, running class II section Cusipata for 2 hours.

At the end of the navigation we head toward our camp to enjoy a nice lunch, accompanied by hot and cold beverages to the passengers who may use the aforementioned services.

Then we can visit a small Quechua village to observe the daily activities of local people. At the end of the day the tents are set up at the camp where we will also be able to make a campfire and enjoy a wonderful evening, ending our first day.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast, our transportation will take us to the Chuquicahuana section. Here we will have the safety talk, this section is faster, and is class III and IV.

After two hours on the river and we will take you back to our private camp, where you will again enjoy a delicious lunch and the site amenities.

Finally we return to Cusco at around 5:00 pm
